Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Sprinkler Helper to learn and assist with the installation and service of all forms of fire sprinkler systems and services. The role offers growth into the fire and life safety industry, with opportunities to enroll in an apprentice program.

You will assist technicians, participate in safety meetings, and develop skills reading blueprints and project schedules while traveling to local job sites and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willing to enroll in Sprinkler Fitter apprentice program.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally (up to 25 pounds frequently).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willing to travel to local job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sprinkler Service Technicians with installation of overhead sprinkler systems, fire pumps, standpipes and hose systems.
• Attend weekly job site safety meetings.
• Learn and assist in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications and project schedules.
• Communicate with contractors to keep projects on time and within budget.
• Comply with Sciens safety programs and policies.
