Job summary

Sobieski Life Safety is hiring a Sprinkler Foreman to supervise field crews on commercial sprinkler projects. You will enforce safety standards, coordinate labor and materials, and ensure on-time, within-budget completion while upholding quality.

Responsibilities include training workers, conducting site safety orientations, interpreting system designs, and maintaining documentation. Strong leadership, scheduling, and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years’ verifiable Fire Sprinkler Fitter experience.
• Demonstrated ability to schedule personnel and materials with Superintendent.
• Work within local and state codes with precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• OSHA 30 Certified.
• Must have a clean driving record, pass a drug screen and pass a background check.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office Suite, file management, Internet). Experience using an iPad.
• Journeyman Fire Sprinkler License or equivalent training.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Foreman on Commercial Sites.
• NICET Level 2 or 3 certification.
• Fire Pump Certification.
• Backflow Certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate field activities of assigned craft workers; enforce safety regulations.
• Train new workers in the use of equipment and tools.
• Conduct site-specific safety orientation for employees/subcontractors.
• Interpret completed systems to determine conformance to specifications.
• Enforce company policies with workers and assure compliance with standards.
• Monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion; adjust work sequences as needed.
• Maintain weekly labor performance reports with Project Manager/Superintendent.
• Maintain timely completion of all paperwork: look ahead schedules, timesheets, daily orders, tool requests.
• Maintain jobsite security and a clean, organized site; ensure tools are in good working order.
• Prepare final take-off of material and schedule shutdowns/tie-ins to existing systems.
• Build rapport with customers and team to influence decisions on purchases and scheduling.
• Analyze and resolve work problems and report progress or deviations.
