Job description

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Pipefitter to join our team for commercial projects 50 miles within North Reading Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, service work and testing piping systems. Work may include heating systems, gas piping, steam systems, and high- or low-pressure piping.

Pay is $45-52 an hour

Responsibilities:

    • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and piping specifications to determine the layout of systems.
    • Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using hand and power tools.
    • Service and testing work on piping systems
    • Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and defects using pressure gauges or hydrostatic testing.
    • Ensure work complies with MA state codes and local regulations.
    • Collaborate with other trades on job sites to complete installations or repairs.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Complete daily work reports and time logs accurately.

Requirements:

    • Valid Massachusetts Pipefitter License (Journeyman or Master).
    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pipefitting or mechanical systems.
    • Strong understanding of plumbing and mechanical codes.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints.
    • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
    • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
    • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work from heights, and perform physical tasks daily.
