Job summary

Cagayan State University is seeking an on-site Supply Chain intern to support purchasing, logistics, and inventory activities in Austin, TX. You will work with real supplier data, learn ERP systems, and contribute to cost-saving analyses.

You will leverage Excel/Sheets, engage with suppliers, and help build dashboards and automations to improve sourcing and shipping efficiency. This internship runs January 12 to April 16, 2027, with potential for continued development.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a relevant field (supply chain, operations, logistics, industrial engineering, business).
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables, data cleaning) and clear communication.
Experience with ERP or inventory systems and interest in sourcing, shipping, and automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Request quotes, compare suppliers on price, lead time, and quality, and place purchase orders for R&D and production materials.
Track open orders, follow up with suppliers on delivery dates, and flag delays to prevent build holds.
Schedule freight, obtain carrier quotes, and coordinate with shipping/receiving teams to ensure proper goods receipt.
Maintain accurate inventory data (part numbers, BOMs, stock levels, and purchase records) in ERP/inventory tools.
Analyze spend and lead times to identify cost savings and alternative sources for key parts.
Develop trackers, dashboards, and simple automations, including AI tools, to streamline buying and logistics processes.
Manage a supply chain project end-to-end and present results to leadership.
