Job summary

Textron Aviation in Wichita, KS offers an Intern in Supply Chain focused on inventory and procurement practices. You will help drive automation and efficiency across Direct, Indirect and Aftermarket, interfacing with production and suppliers to bring Textron Aviation products to market.

You will gain hands-on experience in material planning, data analysis, and process improvement, working on real projects with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Action oriented and seizes opportunities.
Computer proficiency including MS Office and CAD; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist with material planning requirements, issuing purchase orders for materials and components, expediting orders as needed, and verifying delivery dates.
New process implementation and process improvement, involving developing procedures, completing problem analysis, etc.
Manage inventory and reorder point of materials based on manufacturing schedules.
Prepare reports and communications as requested.
Perform system data analysis, maintenance, and clean-up.
