Job summary

CTspring is seeking a skilled machinist to operate, adjust and set up a variety of machinery to manufacture parts that meet strict quality standards.

You will perform routine maintenance, inspect parts and use gauges to verify tolerances, with duties expanding to training others as needed. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy and adherence to environmental standards in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School, Trade School graduate or demonstrated equivalent skills.
• Ability to read blueprints
• Good mechanical skills
• Knowledge in the use of simple gauges (i.e. plug gauge)

Responsibilities

• Operate departmental machinery.
• Make minor repairs to machine tools.
• Remove old tool from machinery and replace with a new tool.

Experience

Physical Requirements

• Visual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
• Ability to lift objects from lower to a higher position or moving horizontally from

position-to-position.

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted
