Applicants must hold a New Jersey Teacher's or Substitute Teacher Certificate, CPR/AED certification, and be available daily during the season.

Season dates: March 9, 2027 – June 14, 2027. Stipend: $9,321–$10,897. Compliance with concussion, heat acclimatization, and Sports First Aid training is required; coaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Teacher's Certificate OR Substitute Teacher Certificate; proof of experience required for substitute certificate holder
• Coaching experience preferred, but not required
• Must be available daily during the spring sports season
• Must be certified in CPR and AED, and holding a current certificate in both
• Must obtain a "Concussion Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually
• Must Obtain a "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate or it's equivalent, renewed annually
• All new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete a course in "Sports First Aid"
