Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC is seeking an intern for the Dimensional Inspection team in Marietta, GA. The intern will gain hands-on experience with CMMs, vision systems, laser scanners, portable CMMs, and industrial CT, assisting with inspections and data analysis.

The role includes interpreting drawings, tolerances, and GD&T, along with following procedures and safety guidelines. Mentoring from experienced engineers will be provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma with strong safety focus.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and data.
• Basic math, geometry and reading engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and technicians with dimensional inspection projects in the laboratory.
• Support inspections using CMMs, vision systems, laser scanners, portable CMMs, industrial CT, and other precision measurement equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
• Assist with equipment setup, part handling, data collection, and basic analysis of inspection results.
• Learn and follow applicable inspection procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
