Qualifications

• Enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at time of application.
• By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year of their program (nine months).

Responsibilities

• Assist Family Services Specialists with families whose children are unsafe or may be placed out of the home.
• Receive reports from the community regarding allegations of child maltreatment.
• Assist with assessments regarding child maltreatment.
• Support interventions to secure child safety at home.
• Coordinate and facilitate family team meetings.
• Recruit and support foster and relative homes for maltreated children.
• Assist in matching resource families for children unable to return to their birth families.
