Job summary

Regency Centers is seeking a Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting Intern to join our Jacksonville, Florida office for spring 2027. You will assist with SEC filings, month-end close, equity method schedules, and internal control support while gaining exposure to REITs and real estate reporting.

The internship requires 20 hours/week for 12–15 weeks starting January 2027, with mentorship and growth opportunities in a dynamic corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a student in good standing at an accredited 4-year college or university, enrolled as a Junior or senior with a declared Accounting or Finance major.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Completed at least an intermediate Accounting course
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, functions and pivot tables
• Reliable transportation to and from the office during working hours
• On track to meet the 150-hour CPA education requirement, preferred
• Coursework in financial statement analysis, auditing, accounting information systems or real estate, preferred
• Prior accounting or finance internship or leadership in campus accounting, preferred
• Exposure to a general ledger or ERP system and to financial statement preparation, preferred
• Interest in commercial real estate, REITs or public company reporting, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and tie-out of quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K) and related schedules.
• Support corporate accounting with month-end and quarter-end close procedures.
• Assist with equity method and non-controlling interest schedules and partner reporting packages.
• Build and refresh Excel analyses using Spreadsheet Server for variance and management reporting.
• Gather support for internal control testing.
