Job summary

MISO invites students in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields to join a spring 2027 co-op program. You will work on real projects to improve reliability and performance of the electric grid, with about 40 hours per week on-site in Carmel, IN and Eagan, MN.

Housing assistance is available for qualified students. Start date is January 13, 2027, through April 30, 2027, with potential for part-time remote work during the school year.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Experience with Dynamics 365, Power BI, and Excel preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify business problems or inefficient processes with teammates to diagnose root causes.
• Support improvements in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform—build/test workflows, dashboards, or process updates.
• Contribute to real projects through data analysis, requirements gathering, and translating needs into technical solutions.
• Participate in community service projects, networking events, and collaborations with professionals.
• Deliver a final presentation of project findings and recommendations to leaders.
