Job summary

Nyla Technology Solutions seeks a high-performing Spring Boot & Data Modernization Engineer to scale a core Spring Boot app backed by MariaDB, moving toward containerization and Kubernetes orchestration. You will design RESTful APIs, optimize queries, and automate CI/CD with GitLab.

The role requires handling terabytes of data weekly, across application, database, and deployment environments, and offers a competitive base salary with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot or modern frameworks.
• Ability to ingest, process, and manage terabytes of operational data.
• Hands-on experience with MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or Oracle including query tuning and data access optimizations.
• Experience designing and maintaining secure RESTful APIs and front-ends using Angular or similar frameworks.
• Experience deploying containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale a core Spring Boot application backed by MariaDB.
• Optimize high-throughput database queries and data processing pipelines.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs and modern front-end interfaces (Angular).
• Automate CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and collaborate on DevSecOps practices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and cross-train across app, database, and deployment environments.
