MBE CPAs is offering a Spring 2027 Assurance Internship in Baraboo and Reedsburg. You will collaborate with the audit team, perform fieldwork, sampling, and document workpapers while gaining exposure to financial reporting processes.

This paid internship is designed for accounting students pursuing an audit/assurance career, with onsite work requirements and opportunities for mentorship and networking within the firm.

WI Office Locations: Baraboo, Black Earth, Door County, Fort Atkinson, Mauston, Marshfield, Portage, Reedsburg, Sauk City, Sun Prairie, Tomah, Wausau, and Wisconsin Dells-Lake Delton.

At MBE CPAs, interns are treated as part of the team from day one. You'll gain hands‑on experience working alongside department leaders and professionals who are invested in your growth while contributing to meaningful projects across the organization. Along the way, you'll build professional connections and gain exposure to potential career opportunities within MBE and the affiliate group.

As an Assurance intern, you'll work closely with our audit team supporting services for clients across a variety of industries. Interns gain exposure to audit procedures, financial reporting, and the collaborative process behind client engagements.

What you’ll do:

• Fieldwork procedures
• Sampling methods
• Workpaper preparation and documentation
• Basic accounting and analytical procedures

Skills & Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in accounting, particularly interested in audit and assurance services
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office products
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong oral and written communication

Schedule:

Full‑time internships follow a Monday - Friday schedule averaging 40 hours a week. Audit Interns are expected to work onsite at their selected location. Specific schedules may vary based on office needs and workload. Some flexibility is available to accommodate class schedule.
