Job summary

Qualifications

• Major study in Business, preferably with emphasis in Supply Chain Management or Operations.
• Major study in Engineering Management or Applied Engineering Sciences.
• Be an enthusiastic and self-motivated sophomore, junior, or senior.
• Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent judgment and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the purchasing processes, including EOQ, inventory control, A/B/C prioritization, etc. is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process the purchases of select Maintenance, Repair, and Operations orders with oversight.
• Work with various software and E-commerce systems.
• Produce reports to assist buyers.
• Analyze, prepare, and negotiate quote packages.
• Assist with liquidation of obsolete raw material and parts inventory.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, buyers, internal stakeholders & management.
• Troubleshoot vendor or order issues to maintain department operations.
• Apply Total Cost of Ownership metrics in evaluating purchasing decisions.
• Keep good records.
• Train and pass knowledge to your successor.
