Hunter Engineering Company in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Spring 2027 Supply Chain & Operations Planning Co-op. You will work with Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing and a diverse supplier base to gain practical experience in purchasing, procurement, and project reporting.

This role provides hands-on exposure to MRO purchases, vendor communication, and data analysis, with a start date in January 2027 and an end date in August 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in business or engineering with focus on supply chain.
• Self-motivated sophomore, junior, or senior.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Process purchases of select MRO orders with supervision from Indirect Procurement.
• Work with various software and E-commerce systems.
• Assist with projects and producing reports to support buyers.
• Analyze, prepare, and negotiate quote packages.
• Assist with liquidation of obsolete raw materials and parts inventory.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, buyers, and internal stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot vendor or order issues to maintain smooth department function.
• Apply Total Cost of Ownership metrics in evaluating purchases.
• Keep accurate records of transactions and decisions.
• Share knowledge and assist with training of successor.
