Job summary

HarperCollins Publishers offers an internship in the Subsidiary Rights team in New York. You will work on submission material for licensees across HarperCollins, Harlequin, and international publishers, and assist in preparing presentations for book fairs.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program, authorized to work in the United States, and prepared to commit to 21 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergrad or master’s program.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Resume and cover letter required; address cover letter to “Hiring Team.”
• Ideal candidates are pursuing or recently completed an undergrad or master’s program.
• Interest in books and publishing is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Work on submission material for licensees for HarperCollins adult and children's imprints, and Harlequin.
• Support creation of key presentations for International Book Fairs.
• Read and discuss manuscripts with licensing potential.
• Learn deal terms and how they’re recorded in rights systems.
