Job summary

Kroger offers a Summer Internship Program designed for current college students to gain hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world HR experience during a 15-week immersive period. The internship focuses on recruiting, candidate screening, interview coordination, and program development with exposure to leadership and Store Support Center operations.

Spring 2027 dates: January 11 - April 23. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree, eligible to work in the United States, and eager to contribute

Qualifications

• Open to all majors; must be actively pursuing a degree with a preferred GPA.
• Work authorization in the United States; no visa sponsorship required now or in the future.
• Highly motivated with initiative and strong leadership abilities.
• Able to work independently or in groups.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support recruiting efforts by screening candidates, reviewing applications, and assisting with candidate selection processes.
• Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews with candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and interview teams.
• Assist with candidate communication and follow-up throughout the process.
• Support development and execution of internship programs.
• Develop, plan, and schedule intern events and programming to create a positive experience.
• Assist with recruiting and onboarding activities for incoming interns.
• Help brand and promote the internship program to attract qualified candidates.
• Travel to local events, meetings, career fairs, and other recruiting activities as needed.
