Job summary

Duke Energy's 16-week engineering co-op program offers hands-on experience across Transmission, Distribution, PMC, EH&S, and Grid Planning. Enrolled ABET-accredited students in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial & Systems Engineering will rotate through groups, tackle real-world engineering challenges, and gain exposure to staff engineers and project management.

Housing stipends may be available.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s program in engineering.
• Must not graduate before May 2027.
• Cumulative GPA 2.75 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, analysis and projects across Engineering tracks (Transmission, Distribution, PMC, EH&S, RRE).
• Rotate through groups to gain diverse, hands-on experience and mentorship.
