Job summary

Duke Energy offers a 16-week co-op program (January 2027 – May 2027) for students pursuing ABET-accredited degrees in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial & Systems Engineering. Enrollees must not graduate before May 2027 and maintain a GPA of 2.75+.

Co-ops span Transmission, Distribution, PMC, EH&S, RRE, Grid Planning Studies, with hybrid/onsite opportunities across multiple locations. You will work full-time (40 hours/week) during sessions, gain hands-on experience,

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited degree required.
  • Must not graduate before May 2027.
  • GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineers across transmission, distribution, and PMC projects.
  • Assist with design, analysis and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with staff engineers during rotations across groups.
