Job summary

Merus is seeking a Design-Build Co-Op in Nashville to apply classroom knowledge to live projects. You will work with project teams, read drawings, and help schedule and bid packages, gaining hands-on experience across the design and construction process.

This position emphasizes ownership, teamwork, and delivering high-quality project documentation, with exposure to tools like Excel, Word, Procore, BlueBeam, and Timberline while pursuing a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, BlueBeam, Procore, and Timberline is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating design and construction with project teams.
• Read and interpret drawings and requests for proposal.
• Help create project schedules.
• Prepare scopes of work and bid packages.
• Perform quantity take-offs for estimates.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on drawings and schedule.
• Maintain drawings and submittal logs.
• Attend meetings and record minutes.
• Support on-site reporting and progress updates.
• Assist in weekly owner progress reports.
• Handle delivery/logistics of permits and submittals.
