Job summary

Merus is seeking a construction management co‑op to work closely with project teams on design and construction coordination. You will read drawings, assist in scheduling, prepare bid packages, and help generate contracts and progress reports.

This role offers hands-on experience with project management processes in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, proficient in Excel/Word, and familiar with MS Project, BlueBeam,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering from an accredited College or University.
• Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Prior experience in Microsoft Project, BlueBeam, Procore, and Timberline software is an added bonus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and construction with project team, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Architects and other Design Professionals.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, documents, and requests for proposal(s).
• Aid in creating project schedule(s).
• Create scopes of work and bid packages to facilitate subcontract buy-out.
• Perform quantity take-off of materials/items for estimates/proposals.
• Communicate and coordinate drawings and schedule with subcontractors.
• Administer updated drawings, and record drawing log, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Generate contracts and prepare monthly invoices, issue subcontractor/owner change-orders.
• Attend meetings and record minutes, participate in project planning.
• Provide weekly on-site progress reports and assist in site operations progress.
