Job summary

TECO Energy's Tampa Electric Company invites you to join our corporate accounting student co-op in Florida. You will work on enterprise-wide accounting with a focus on ERP systems, general ledger processing and journal entries, and support regulatory reporting.

You'll gain hands-on experience preparing journal entries, posting payments, creating invoices, and assisting with closeout and audit requests while maintaining accuracy in a collaborative office setting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited university; undergraduate or graduate in accounting/finance.
• Co-op enrollment proof required; if not eligible, considered an intern.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance; No preference for year in school.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries.
• Post payments and create invoices.
• Assist with closeout and respond to audit requests.
• Handle ad hoc requests as needed.
