Job summary

The Exploration Company in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Spring 2027 Engineering Intern to join our crewed vehicle development team. You will design, develop, test, and improve engineering systems under mentorship, contributing to real-world projects and technical documentation.

Ideal candidates are pursuing engineering degrees, have some internship experience, and show strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. This is a full-time 12+ week internship with relocation not provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Engineering or related field.
• Three months or more of relevant engineering experience through internships, co-op programs, or industry projects.
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident due to ITAR/EAR regulations.
• GPA 3.5 or higher preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, test, and improve products, systems, or processes.
• Contribute to real-world engineering projects and deliverables under a mentor.
• Apply engineering principles and coursework to solve technical problems.
• Develop, test, debug, and document technical solutions, tools, or prototypes.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to support engineering decisions.
• Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and technical discussions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and project updates.
• Support testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
