NHTI Concords Community College in Concord, NH is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach a variety of history and political science courses, including History of NH, US History 1870–present, US History to 1870, Western Civilization, and Western Civilization Antiquity to 1650.

This is a part-time, in-person position with compensation of $850–$1000 per credit, based on adjunct rank determined by education and experience. Residency in New England is required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in history, political science or a relevant field.
  • Prior teaching experience required.
  • Familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS) preferred.

  • Course Delivery: Provide instruction using curricula aligned with department and program standards.
  • Student Engagement: Foster active learning through discussions, assignments, and assessments.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Professional Development: Stay current in your field and adhere to institutional policies.
  • Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and candidates will be contacted as teaching opportunities arise within their field of expertise.

Overview:

NHTI is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach a variety of history and political science courses. Course offerings may include topics like History of NH, US History 1870-present, US History to 1870, Western Civilization, and Western Civilization Antiquity to 1650.

Minimum Qualifications:
