Position Overview

The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology at Keene State College is seeking qualified applicants for adjunct faculty positions for the Fall 2026 semester. These positions will fill three course openings at the introductory and advanced undergraduate level. Courses include: Introduction to Sociology (SOC 125), Sociological Research Methods (SOC 301), Social Problems (SOC 310). All courses must be taught in person. No remote teaching applications will be considered.

Job Duties
  • Design and delivery of course content for credit courses.
  • Preparation of lesson plans and course materials; assessment of student learning.
  • Assignment of grades.
  • Referring students to support services as needed; provision of supplemental instruction and mentorship.
  • Compliance with USNH and KSC policies; participation in appropriate department and/or unit meetings.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience
  • Completion of a graduate degree in Sociology.
  • Academic background in Sociology and record of success teaching in-person at the College/University level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lead‑instructor teaching experience at the College/University level (in‑person).
  • Knowledge and ability to use the Canvas learning information platform.

Compensation Pay Range

$800 per credit hour or $840 per credit hour for those with terminal degrees.
