Job summary

Valley Cabinet Inc. is seeking a Sprayer to join our Prefinishing team. You will operate spray equipment to apply finishes to cabinet components, including drawer fronts, doors and veneers.

The role emphasizes detail, color matching, and consistent production. Training is on the job, with opportunities for advancement and a 2nd shift differential. This position offers full benefits and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

Position Summary:
Using a manual or automated spray equipment, the Sprayer applies decorative finishes and protective coatings to our products that will include drawer fronts, door fronts, veneers, moldings, and other cabinet components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use a spray gun to apply stain, sealer, or topcoat to cabinet and door products
• Use sandpaper and other instruments to sand rough spots and to rub stain into the grain.
• Maintain quality standards on all products.
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• No required education or job experience.
• Ability to learn and retain on the job training.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to grasp and manipulate trigger on spray gun.
• The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
• Ability to match or detect differences between colors. This includes shades, colors, and brightness.
• Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English.
• Ability to meet quality standards - strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to consistently meet/exceed production quotas.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not be limited to the following:

• Sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity.
• Exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing hearing protection in designated areas.
• Exposure to plant environment to include moving parts, fumes, dust. Safety glasses to be worn at all times.
• Endure heat and cold conditions in the plant.
