MetroGreenscape Landscaping is hiring a Spray Technician to join our turf management team. You will apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides on residential and commercial properties following label instructions and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina Commercial Pesticide Applicator License; license must be obtained within 12 months if not currently held.
• 1+ year of landscape or turf chemical applications experience.
• Strong knowledge of turf and ornamental pests, diseases, and treatments.
• Ability to work independently in various weather conditions.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Job description

MetroGreenscape Landscaping is seeking a Spray Technician to join our turf management team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of turf and plant care products, application methods, and safety protocols.

What You Will Do:

1. Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides according to label instructions and safety guidelines
2. Inspect properties to diagnose turf and plant health issues (insects, weeds, diseases)
3. Maintain accurate application records and logs
4. Calibrate and maintain spray equipment and vehicles
5. Communicate with clients and team members about treatments and follow-up care
6. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
7. Other tasks and projects as needed

What You Will Bring to the Job:

1. Valid North Carolina Commercial Pesticide Applicator License. Experienced applicants without a valid license may be considered and must obtain a license within twelve (12) months of hire. Company will pay for the cost of obtaining this license.
2. 1+ year of experience in landscape or turf chemical applications preferred
3. Strong knowledge of turf and ornamental pests, diseases, and treatment options
4. Ability to work independently and in various weather conditions
5. Good communication and time management skills
6. Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
