Job summary

Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, LA, operated by Troon, seeks a Spray Technician/Assistant in Training to learn and contribute in a fast-paced golf-course environment. You will assist with chemical and fertilizer applications under supervision and participate in record keeping and equipment maintenance.

The role requires readiness for varied weather, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience working on a golf course is preferred but not required.
• A valid State issued Driver's License.
• Meet all Federal and State Employment Eligibility guidelines.
• Must be able to stand on their feet for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry items that are at most 50 pounds.
• A pesticide license is not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making all chemical and fertilizer applications under the guidance of Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.
• Detailed record keeping.
• Inventory management.
• Maintenance / calibration of spray and fertilizer application equipment.
• Spray selective and non-selective herbicides.
• Perform fertilizer applications on all playing surfaces.
• May help with other tasks on the golf course as directed by supervisor.

Pay Rate:

$22.00 - $25.00 (based on experience)

This position coordinates with:

• Superintendent
• Assistant Superintendent
