Qualifications

• Experience on a golf course is preferred but not required.
• Valid State issued Driver's License.
• Meets Federal and State Employment Eligibility guidelines.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Pesticide license not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make chemical and fertilizer applications under supervision of Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
• Maintain detailed records of applications and materials used.
• Manage inventory of chemicals and fertilizers.
• Calibrate and maintain spray/fertilizer application equipment.
• Spot spray selective or non-selective herbicides as directed.
• Apply fertilizer to all playing surfaces.

Job description

Southern Trace Country Club, located in Shreveport, LA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Spray Technician/ Assistant in Training! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

The ideal candidate is someone that communicates well, is self-motivated, has a positive attitude, and is well organized. The Spray Technician is responsible for making all chemical and fertilizer applications under the guidance of Assistant superintendent and Superintendent. This will include detailed record keeping, inventory management, maintenance / calibration of spray and fertilizer application equipment. When there is no larger spray applications planned for the day, the ideal candidate will spend their day spot spraying selective or non-selective herbicides.

Pay Rate:

$22.00 - $25.00 (based on experience)

This position coordinates with:

• Superintendent
• Assistant Superintendent

• Experience working on a golf course is preferred but not required.

• Detailed record keeping.
• Inventory management.
• Maintenance / calibration of spray and fertilizer application equipment.
• Spray selective and non-selective herbicides.
• Perform fertilizer applications on all playing surfaces.
• May help with other tasks on the golf course as directed by supervisor.
