Job summary

Troon is seeking a Spray Technician/Assistant in Training at Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, LA. You will perform chemical and fertilizer applications under the guidance of the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent, maintain records, manage inventory, and calibrate equipment.

Ideal candidates communicate well, stay organized, and are dependable. No pesticide license required but preferred; valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are important.

Qualifications

• Experience working on a golf course is preferred but not required.
• A valid State issued Driver’s License.
• Meet all Federal and State Employment Eligibility guidelines.
• Must be able to stand on their feet for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry items that are at most 50 pounds.
• A pesticide license is not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make chemical and fertilizer applications under supervision.
• Perform detailed record keeping for applications.
• Manage inventory of chemicals and supplies.
• Calibrate and maintain spray and fertilizer application equipment.
• Spot spray selective or non-selective herbicides as assigned.
• May assist with other course tasks as directed.
