The PGA strives to provide a work environment that is respectful and supportive and allows a balance between professional and personal life.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** *include the following: Other duties may be assigned.*Perform chemical and fertilizer applications on golf course properties.Maintain chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state, and federal regulations and is responsible for the safety and direction of chemical handlers and/or helpers.Calibrate spray equipment as required.Assist course superintendents in planning current and long-range spray programs.Maintain daily spray records.Maintain proper chemical inventory.Responsible for the direct preventive maintenance of all equipment associated with the task of spraying.Read, understand and keep current with all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).Maintain chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state, and federal regulations.Responsible for the safety of all helpers.Perform routine safety inspections on all spraying equipment.Follow label instructions and wear proper safety equipment.Serve as the point person and oversee a small labor force for special projects.**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**No direct supervisory responsibilities.**QUALIFICATIONS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
