CANPACK Group in Muncie, Indiana, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep spray and necker equipment running at peak efficiency within quality standards. You will assist with operation, perform daily maintenance, and participate in routine inspections in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, vocational training in a mechanical field, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team,

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience as a Mechanic in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
  • Vocational education in mechanical/technical field is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with operation of spray and/or necker equipment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Perform daily maintenance plans and audits of machines/housekeeping according to maintenance plan.
  • Perform and report technician-level repairs (basic technical repairs).
  • Troubleshoot faulty equipment and assemblies. Assist Spray/Necker Specialist with repair of defective parts.
  • Perform routine quality checks at the appropriate stage of production.

Position Summary

Ensure spray and/or necker machines are operating at peak efficiency within quality specifications.

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables

  • Assist with operation of spray and/or necker equipment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Perform daily maintenance plans and audits of machines/housekeeping according to maintenance plan.
  • Perform and report technician-level repairs (basic technical repairs).
  • Trouble shoot faulty equipment andassemblies. Assist Spray/Necker Specialist with repair of defective parts.
  • Perform routine quality checks at the appropriate stage of production.
  • Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
  • Vocational education a plus(Mechanical, Technical or similar).
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • 1-3 years’ experience as a Mechanic inmanufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
  • Self-motivated with high attention to detail preferred.
  • Problemsolvingskills.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire-prevention, and environmental protection regulations.
