Job summary

CANPACK Group is seeking a night shift Maintenance Technician to service and maintain front-end machinery in a manufacturing setting. You will perform preventive maintenance, align and calibrate equipment, replace tooling, and keep detailed records of tooling usage while ensuring performance meets quality specs.

The role requires the ability to read blueprints, troubleshoot issues, and work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Vocational education or training in mechanical/technical areas is a plus.
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of US measurement systems is important.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on Front End machinery.
  • Grease specified grease points.
  • Align machines and replace worn/damaged tooling.
  • Maintain tooling usage records per machine.
  • Rebuild/repair equipment and identify leaks.
  • Read blueprints/DWGs and work within tolerances.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Assist training on troubleshooting techniques.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Position Summary

NIGHT SHIFT 7PM-7AM

NIGHT CREWS TO BE DETERMINED

Ensure power press machinery (Cuppers, Body Makers, Trimmers, Balers, and Conveyance Mats) is properly maintained and running at peak efficiency within quality specifications.

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all Front End machinery
  • Greasing the specified grease points\
  • Alignment of the machines
  • Replace worn/damage tooling
  • Maintain records of tooling usage per machine
  • Rebuild/Repair equipment
  • Identify leaks in the system
  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings (DWGs)
  • Work within tolerances
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment
  • Help train other employees on how to troubleshoot.
  • Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
  • Vocational education a plus(Mechanical, Technical or similar).
  • Experience in a Manufacturing facility is a plus.
  • Intermediate knowledge of US measurement.
  • Trouble shoot machinery when out of specification.
  • Experience with calipers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, and depth micrometers.
  • General tool knowledge and capable of using torque wrenches to specified specification.
  • Problemsolvingskills.
  • Self-motivated with high attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Team Player.
