Job summary

American Custom Drying in Mountain Top, PA is seeking a Chemical Spray Dryer Operator to join our production team. The operator will run spray drying equipment, monitor quality, follow SOPs, and work with supervisors and engineers to keep the process safe and efficient.

Candidates should have manufacturing experience, be able to lift 55 pounds, hold a valid driver's license, familiarity with PLCs, and be willing to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends, in a role focused on batch

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for system start-up, operation, shutdown, cleaning, and batching.
• Mix chemical and food batches, monitor and sample in accordance with SOPs.
• Record process and production data.
• Troubleshoot dryer processes with Supervisors and Engineers.
• Assist with routine maintenance and maintain a clean work environment.
• Oversee cleanup of entire dryer system between products.

We have a new opportunity for a Chemical Spray DryerOperator in Mountain Top, PA.Our company, American Custom Drying, has been in business for more than 50 years. We provide contract manufacturing and toll processing services for the food and chemical industries. ACD specializes in custom spray drying, powder blending and milling.

Position Overview

The Spray Dryer Chemical Operator will operate equipment used in the production of powder via a spray drying process. Operator will work with a shift supervisor and help manage material handlers. Individual must be able to work with minimum direction and be familiar with manufacturing processes. Their goal is to ensure that the production process runs safely and smoothly and produces quality products that meet customer specifications.

Job Functions

Operator will oversee all production activities and assure that they are conducted in a safe manner. Excellent communication skills are essential. Specific job functions include:

• Follow procedures for system start-up, operation, shutdown, cleaning, and batching
• Mixing chemical and food batches, monitoring and sampling in accordance with SOPs
• Recording process and production data
• Troubleshooting dryer processes (work closely with Supervisors and Engineers in troubleshooting problems)
• Assisting with routine maintenance and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Overseeing cleanup of entire dryer system between products

Qualifications
