Cabinetworks Group is seeking a finishes technician for the stain and spray operations in its Virginia facility. You will set up stain lines, prepare sealers and top coats, manage waste and maintain safety records.

Qualifications

• Must work safely and as part of a team.
• Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
• 2–3 years of work experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Mechanical inclination.
• Math and computer skills.
• Ability to read/write/communicate in English.
• Team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Stain set ups, preparation of sealer and top coat, maintenance of pump room and inventory checks.
• Responsible for solid and liquid waste removal and proper disposal.
• Upkeep of Hazardous Materials Storage Shed; report air emissions and weekly waste inventory.
• Follow written or verbal instructions exactly.
• Set up and operate spray booths with quality checks as trained.
• Mix finishes to match colors and reproduce colors for products.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of finishing equipment.
• Maintain safety records and flexible with shifts.
