Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Joliet is seeking workers for guest service-focused roles at the casino. You will handle ticketing for sports wagers, manage cash and cash banks, stock stations, and ensure accurate payments on winnings while maintaining high standards of guest service.

The job requires being 21+, a high school diploma or GED, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior cash-handling and guest service experience are preferred.

  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to guest interaction and guest concerns in a timely, courteous manner.
  • Write, verify, and process tickets for sports wagers according to policy and regulations.
  • Maintain a cash bank for the shift and provide correct change.
  • Stock sports book stations with supplies and keep them neat.
  • Write sports tickets accurately and promptly.
  • Make payments on winning tickets and verify payoffs.
  • Reconcile bank for the assigned shift following cash-handling policies.
  • Explain wagering rules and procedures to guests.
  • Provide information and assistance to customers to ensure superior service.
  • Create and enter player tracking cards.
  • Notify management of escalated issues and suspicious activity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
  • Effectively respond to Supervisor's requests in all areas of guest interaction and guest concerns.
  • Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensures compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statutes and regulations.
  • Maintain a cash bank for their shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary.
  • Stock Sports book stations with adequate supplies; keeps all stations neat and clean.
  • Write Sports tickets in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets and payoffs.
  • Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash-handling policies and procedures
  • Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests.
  • Provide information and assistance to customers in a friendly, courteous manner to ensure the delivery of superior guest service.
  • Offer information on activities, etc., and direct guests for further information as necessary.
  • Create and enter player tracking cards.
  • Notify management of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity. Team members may be required to perform duties outside of their normal job description where, in the company's judgment, it is necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity or improved guest service.
