Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Sportsbook Supervisor to lead a sportsbook area during shifts, approving or denying wagers and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role requires supervisory experience, cash handling and sportsbook betting experience, and strong communication and customer service skills.

You will oversee staff, manage reconciliations, and escalate issues to management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with cash handling and sportsbook betting experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of ticket writer/cashier experience preferred.
• Strong collaboration and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Experience in sports or online gaming highly desired.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license and satisfy all regulatory requirements.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Supervise sportsbook cashiers; ensure transactions follow Company policies and regulations.
• Monitor all monies wagered.
• Approve or deny wagers with the Risk and Trading team.
• Maintain Sportsbook vault.
• Conduct sweeps/bankroll adjustments on cashier drawers.
• Monitor kiosk performance and customer experience.
• Handle escalated guest disputes in the Sportsbook.
• Report issues to management immediately.
• Advise management of operational concerns.
• Assist with training, evaluating performance, and scheduling staff.
• Enforce Company’s Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain high visibility throughout the Sportsbook.
• Provide outstanding customer service to guests and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for a Sportsbook Supervisor who will be responsible for the operations of a specific area of the Sportsbook during assigned shift including but not limited to approving or denying wagers from customers, scheduling of staff, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position

• Supervise Sportsbook cashiers; ensures all transactions are performed according to Company policies as well as state and federal regulations
• Monitor all monies being wagered
• Approve or deny wagers from guests in conjunction with the Risk and Trading team
• Maintain Sportsbook vault
• Conduct sweeps/bankroll increases on cashier drawers as necessary
• Monitor performance, conducts basic maintenance, and customer experience on kiosks
• Handle escalated guest disputes in the Sportsbook
• Report issues and discrepancies to management immediately
• Advise management of any operational concerns
• Assist with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling department staff, as assigned
• Enforce Company’s Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain high visibility throughout the Sportsbook
• Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience withcash handlingandsportsbookbetting experiencepreferred
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
