Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Race & Sports Book Supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a team of race and sports staff. The role requires strong communication, customer service, and supervision skills to maintain smooth casino book operations.

The candidate will manage schedules, monitor terminals and TV channels, verify compliance, and handle guest comments and safety issues.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Two years of experience in Race & Sports.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to obtain/maintain required gaming licenses as per regulations.
• Ability to operate Stadium computer software system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Race and Sports Book.
• Verify compliance with Title 31 and Reg. 22; log transactions per thresholds.
• Ensure employees perform services per policies and gaming regulations.
• Operate betting terminals and Race & Sports betting system.
• Set schedules and maintain TV channels for Race & Sports book and control TVs.
• Supervise Race & Sports personnel; discipline up to discharge.
• Maintain written records of shift transactions and regulatory actions.
• Report safety and maintenance issues promptly.
• Handle guest comments and complaints per company policy.
• Ensure Race & Sports book is properly equipped by monitoring stock and ordering supplies.
• Approve winning payoffs over specified limits.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Oversee that daily operations of the Race and Sports Book run smoothly andeffectively.
• Verify compliance with Title 31 and Reg. 22, log transactions that fall under statereporting thresholds.
• Ensure that employees perform services and transactions in accordance withCompany policies and gamingregulations.
• Fully understand and ability to operate betting terminals, as well as Race & Sportsbetting system.
• Set schedule and maintain TV channels for Race & Sports book as well as controlTV’s throughout casino.
• Supervise Race & Sports personnel and administer discipline up to and includingdischarge. Coach and offerguidance to team members.
• Maintain written records and documents of shift transactions, gaming regulations,personnel actions, etc.
• Reporting safety and maintenance issues within a timely manner before end ofshift.
• Handle guest comments and complaints in a timely manner in accordance withCompany policies.
• Assuring Race & Sports book is properly equipped by monitoring supply stock andordering of supplies
• Approve winning payoffs over specified limits.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have two (2) years of experience working in Race & Sports.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses asrequired by local gaming regulations.
• Ability to operate Stadium computer software system.
