Job summary

SumerSports is hiring a hands-on Computer Vision Engineer to build and improve sports video intelligence models—detection, tracking, pose, event understanding, and multi-view reasoning. You’ll spend most of your time on CV research and applied modeling, partnering with data/platform teammates to ensure your work ships reliably.

This role is CV-first, with a bend toward scalable pipelines and MLOps as a plus. Level (mid vs senior) depends on scope ownership and independence.

Qualifications

• Hands-on computer vision model development beyond running repos.
• Experience with PyTorch training loops and data pipelines for vision tasks.
• Familiarity with video CV challenges: occlusion, identity switches, temporal consistency.
• Strong Python engineering with focus on measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build and train CV models for sports video: detection, tracking, pose.
• Own the experimentation loop: hypotheses, ablations, error analysis, improvements.
• Design and maintain evaluation with MOT metrics, keypoints, and events.
• Improve data efficiency via augmentations and sampling strategies.
• Prototype architectures and experiment with transformer-based approaches.
