Job summary

The Cabot Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a part-time Sports Site Supervisor to manage youth and adult sports sites, enforce rules, and deliver excellent customer service to participants. The role includes setting up venues, scorekeeping, and ensuring safety and policy compliance at community events.

Applicants should be available to work nights and weekends and have relevant experience or the ability to perform the listed duties effectively. This position is non-exempt and part-time.

  • Oversee site activities and ensure facility safety.
  • Manage equipment, supplies, and inventory for events.

Job Summary: Performs tasks such as setting up youth or adult sports game sites, submittingscores and reports, enforcing league rules and policies, and providing excellent customer serviceto adult sports participants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. 1) Locks and unlocks recreational facilities (sports complexes or game day venues).
  2. 2) Set up gyms and fields for sporting events.
  3. 3) May assist with the planning and implementing of community-wide special events.
  4. 4) May do scorekeeping for sporting events (all sports).
  5. 5) Responsible for upholding Cabot Parks and Recreation policies and procedures, as wellas ordinances set forth by the City of Cabot.
  6. 6) Responsible for overseeing site activities and ensuring facility safety.
  7. 7) Responsible for equipment, supplies, and all general inventory associated with eventsupervising.
  8. 8) Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. 1) Youth or adult sports administration is preferred but not required.
  2. 2) Must be able to work nights and weekends.
  3. 3) Any related experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary toperform the work.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Needed:
  1. 1) Ability to understand, follow, and carry out oral and written instructions.
  2. 2) Ability to work unsupervised.
  3. 3) Must have great customer service skills when dealing with patrons, staff members, andthe general public on a daily basis.
  4. 4) Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-toperson and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and otheremployees of the organization.
  5. 5) Attendance at work and the ability to get along with the public, commission, supervisors,and co-workers are essential elements of this position.
