Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Manager Trainee for a part-time role. This entry-level position offers a defined training program and a path to higher management within 6–18 months. You will support store operations, lead associates, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service background and/or educational path related to sports.
• Ability to follow policies and participate in training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers throughout the store.
• Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
• Recommend products and suggest add-on sales.
• Merchandising and compliance with company policies.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and training new staff.
• Direct sales and cashier associates; manage inventory and loss prevention.
