Akuna Capital, a trading firm known for cutting-edge technology and collaboration, seeks a Quantitative Researcher focused on sports contracts. You will build pricing models, data pipelines, and production-ready tools to enable in-play quotes and research-driven trading strategies.

Ideal candidates have strong programming in Python (C++ a plus), a solid quantitative background, and a passion for sports. A base salary starts at $145,000 with comprehensive benefits and potential bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in a technical field such as Engineering, CS, Math or Physics.
• Proficient in Python; C++ is a plus.
• 2+ years in a quantitative or programming role, preferably in trading.
• Strong foundations in Linear Algebra, Numerical Methods, Statistics, Optimization and ML.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data capture pipelines to price sports contracts.
• Develop and calibrate pricing models using historical data for in-play quotes.
• Build and maintain internal tooling for the research pipeline.
• Collaborate with trading and development to deploy models into production trading strategies.
