Job summary

Boulder Centre for Orthopedics and Spine in Boulder, CO is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Sports Medicine team. Evaluate and treat sports-related injuries, develop treatment plans with orthopedic physicians, and provide pre/post-operative care.

You will order tests, educate patients, and maintain documentation while collaborating with a supportive team. New graduates welcome to apply. Onsite full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Current Colorado Physician Assistant license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Preferred: at least one year of PA experience.
• Experience in sports medicine, orthopedics, or musculoskeletal care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Take histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations.
• Develop and manage treatment plans with orthopedic physicians.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing within scope.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, options, medications, and follow-up.
• Perform procedures within training and scope.
• Coordinate referrals and services as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and communicate changes to the team.
• Consult with physicians on complex cases and ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in clinical rounds and patient-care activities.
