Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to support our Sports Medicine team. Youll perform diagnostic imaging procedures following established protocols to deliver high-quality results.

This daylight Monday–Friday role offers no weekends or holidays, with a focus on patient care, teamwork, and professionalism, while supporting athletes and active patients. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using established protocols and independent judgment to produce high-quality results without direct supervision.
Identify and prepare patients properly using two patient identifiers and universal protocol to ensure accuracy and safety.
Review orders and patient histories to determine the best approach for imaging and document all necessary information in the electronic record.
Administer oral and rectal contrast per physician orders and department policy.
Ensure exam accuracy — properly code, track, archive, and enter charges for all studies performed.
Operate advanced imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, and documentation of image data according to protocol.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, explaining procedures and helping them feel comfortable and informed.
Collaborate with your team to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care while maintaining dignity, respect, and professionalism.
