Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to support our Sports Medicine team. Youll perform diagnostic imaging procedures following established protocols to deliver high-quality results.

This daylight Monday–Friday role offers no weekends or holidays, with a focus on patient care, teamwork, and professionalism, while supporting athletes and active patients. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using established protocols and independent judgment to produce high-quality results without direct supervision.
• Identify and prepare patients properly using two patient identifiers and universal protocol to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Review orders and patient histories to determine the best approach for imaging and document all necessary information in the electronic record.
• Administer oral and rectal contrast per physician orders and department policy.
• Ensure exam accuracy — properly code, track, archive, and enter charges for all studies performed.
• Operate advanced imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, and documentation of image data according to protocol.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, explaining procedures and helping them feel comfortable and informed.
• Collaborate with your team to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care while maintaining dignity, respect, and professionalism.
