Job Description

Homefield Athletic, a division of DuraEdge Products, provides solutions for sports field problems. The selected candidate will join our Homefield Installation Crew, collaborating with the main office and leadership to complete installation projects and ensure proper installation techniques for DuraEdge products on baseball and softball fields, including infield skin surfaces, warning tracks, and bullpens.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Installation Crew Leader in learning proper installation techniques for baseball and softball fields.
• Construct pitching mounds and home plate areas with mound clay and infield mixes.
• Design field layouts based on the field type being constructed or renovated.
• Manage moisture, perform compaction and grading of infield mixes, warning track materials, and mound clays, and apply topdressing materials.
• Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and other manual labor tasks.
• Operate small construction equipment such as tractors, skid steers, vibratory rollers, and zero-turn mowers.
• Handle hand work including shoveling, raking, soil compaction, and operating compactors.

Job Requirements

• Willingness to travel within the region and work overtime, including 10-12 hour days and Saturdays during busy seasons.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain DOT physical and operate trucks and trailers with equipment.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Highly motivated, organized, good communicator, and capable of making practical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 2 years’ experience in sports field maintenance, landscaping, or construction.
• Experience operating equipment like skid loaders, graders, compactors, sod cutters, etc.
• Knowledge of baseball and softball.
• Leadership, problem-solving skills, and teamwork ability.
