Job summary

City of Waukesha is seeking a Recreation Coordinator (Sports Facilities) to supervise softball, kickball, baseball, soccer, and rental activities at Saratoga, WRO, and Mindiola facilities. The role requires leadership, scheduling, safety oversight, and partnership with the Recreation Supervisor – Sports.

Responsibilities include season coordination, awards, weather and rainout planning, and site maintenance coordination. This is a hands-on, outdoor role with evening and weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth baseball, softball, T-ball, and Soccer programming.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work with staff and the public.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-season activities including game scheduling and scorekeeper scheduling.
• Supervise complex during league games, enforce rules, and monitor safety.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and records; file reports and end-of-season summary.
• Assist with rainout scheduling and coordination with coordinators and maintenance.
• Maintain websites and information lines with updates and standings.
• Organize and distribute end‑of‑season awards and supervise tournaments.
