Job summary

Sportsmedia-Technology-Corp in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Sports Events Operations Intern for Spring 2027. This hands-on internship supports our events team in deploying technology at major sporting events across North America and beyond, with long hours and travel.

You will assist with setting up monitors, video boards, cables, and equipment installation, reporting to the Director of Events Administration. The role is paid and on-site, with travel arising during the internship.

Qualifications

• Current Senior or Recent Graduate in sport management, communications, hospitality or IT preferred.
• Prior event management or IT experience preferred.
• Sport industry knowledge helpful (tennis or golf).
• Must travel 50-75% to events (domestic and international).
• Lift and carry 30 lbs.; work in high-pressure environments.
• Punctuality and task efficiency are expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment for event service delivery.
• Assist with equipment installation, monitors, and video boards; run cables.
• Support IT, electronics and video production teams during events.
• Be ready for SMT events as needed and assist with loading/unloading equipment.
• Manage inventory and maintain warehouse cleanliness and order.
