Job summary

Sportsmedia Technology Corp is seeking a Sports Events Operations Intern for Spring 2027 in Jacksonville, FL. This hands-on, on-site internship involves preparing, deploying, and managing technology at sporting events across North America and possibly worldwide, with travel about 75% and 35-40+ hours per week.

The role requires willingness to travel, ability to lift 30 lbs, and working long days; you will report to the Director of Events Administration.

Qualifications

• Current Senior or Recent Graduate (prefer Sport Management, Communications, Hospitality or IT majors preferred)
• Prior event management / sponsorship or networking / IT experience preferred
• Sport industry knowledge helpful (specifically tennis and golf)
• Must be able to travel 50-75% to both domestic and internationally events during internship
• Lift and carry 30 lbs.
• Work in high pressure environments and problem solve efficiently
• Be dependable in terms of punctuality and task performance efficiency
• Demonstrated leadership in athletics, academics or past work experience

Responsibilities

• Works with SMT staff to prepare equipment for event service delivery
• Assists in day‑to‑day duties as needed within the SMT Events Department, including setting up monitors and video boards, running cables, and assisting with equipment installation
• Supports other SMT events‑based teams as needed, including IT, electronics and video production
• Readiness to be assigned to work SMT events as needed
• Participates in the loading, unloading, and inventory tracking of SMT equipment
• Assists with ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of warehouse
