Job summary

YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking a Division Sports Director to oversee daily operations of youth and adult sports at multiple branches. Based at one center, you will lead staff and volunteers, manage budgets, and ensure facility safety while driving member engagement and community impact.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in related fields, 1–2 years of supervisory experience, and flexibility to work varied hours.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years supervisory experience
• Proficient computer skills with ability to learn new software programs
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, or weekends

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of youth and adult sports programming across multiple YMCAs within YMCA of South Hampton Roads.
• Provide cause-driven leadership in staff supervision, volunteer management, and program administration.
• Develop and manage budgets, ensure safety and maintenance of facilities and equipment, and promote member engagement.
